Exhibitor showcases
More than 300 booths give brands a physical platform to present products and services to buyers, distributors and industry visitors.
The inception of Malaysia Halal Expo is to encourage more products and services to be halal by emphasising the importance of obtaining halal certification through market exposure, engagement and education throughout the 3 days expo. Organised by HQC Commerce Sdn Bhd together with Dewan Perdagangan Islam Malaysia (DPIM), the expo welcomes exhibitors, sponsors and visitors from across the halal industry.
The Malaysia Halal Expo 2024 is presented as an avenue for businesses to showcase products to the local market while cross marketing with overseas brands. The theme of crossing borders for halal runs through the event, reflecting an intent to connect producers, suppliers, and buyers across the halal economy. Over a three-day span with hundreds of booths, exhibitors and visitors gather to exchange ideas, discover product ranges, and build relationships that extend well beyond the exhibition hall floors.
The stated inception of the expo is to encourage more products and services to become halal by emphasising the importance of obtaining halal certification. Rather than treating certification as a formality, the event frames it as something achieved through market exposure, engagement, and education. Visitors are walked through what certification means, why it matters commercially, and how a business might begin the process of bringing its offerings into line with established halal requirements.
Exhibitor categories span food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, fashion, tourism, and services connected with Shariah compliance, banking, and finance. Within these groupings, items containing pork and byproducts, alcohol, and intoxicating substances are separated from permitted items, allowing both permitted and prohibited categories to be displayed and classified clearly. This transparent arrangement helps buyers understand at a glance what they are encountering and where particular products sit within halal and non-halal classifications.
Beyond the booths, the expo program includes highlights, activities, and educational sessions designed for visitors who want to learn more about the halal commerce landscape. Attendees can browse exhibitor profiles, download brochures, and review feature articles that explain trends and terminology. The emphasis is on making information accessible: someone new to halal certification should be able to follow the material, while a seasoned supplier can use the same material to refine how its products are positioned and presented.
The exhibition is organised together with Dewan Perdagangan Islam Malaysia, and the partnership signals an institutional interest in strengthening the country's position within the global halal economy. Sponsors and exhibitors are welcomed alongside ordinary visitors, which broadens the audience beyond trade professionals. For brands from overseas markets, the expo functions as a structured entry point into a region where demand for certified goods is well established, and where cultural familiarity with halal standards already exists among consumers.
Event updates and news coverage form part of the site experience, keeping exhibitors and visitors informed as the expo approaches and while it runs. Announcements, activity schedules, and highlights help people plan their time across the three days, whether they intend to exhibit, sponsor, or simply visit. The result is a site that functions as both a promotional platform for brands and a working reference guide for anyone trying to understand the scope, structure, and intent of the Malaysia Halal Expo 2024.
The emphasis on cross marketing with overseas brands reflects a recognition that halal is a border-crossing commercial category rather than a purely local concern. Producers who have already obtained certification in their home markets can use the expo to test products against a new audience, gather feedback, and identify distribution partners. At the same time, domestic businesses gain exposure to international practices, which supports the expo's stated aim of encouraging more products and services to move toward halal certification.
The site also carries a practical commercial layer, with sections addressing payments, transfers, invoicing, and settlement of the kind that exporters and importers typically encounter when working across borders. Traditional banking routes can be costly and time consuming for international transactions, so alternatives that promise fast, secure handling and transparent fees are highlighted. For a halal business trading overseas, smoother cross-border money movement removes a friction that has little to do with the product itself but much to do with whether a deal can proceed.
Visually, the site presents the expo with a deep brick red paired with charcoal footer bands and off-white section backgrounds, keeping white content cards for product imagery and exhibitor listings. A bold handwritten display face is reserved for the large hero headline, while navigation, body copy, and interface elements use a clean grotesque sans serif. The result is a layout that feels energetic at the top and orderly below, balancing the promotional tone of a trade fair with the clarity expected of an educational and directory-driven event platform.
